6︎ TOXIC NORM ZINE
This is a full generative multi-media package based on a zine concept that juxtaposes the media consumption philosophy of artist group Situationist International with the distortive psychological effects of social media on the perception of reality. Using generative practices to produce glitch effects and distorted graphics, this project features a wide range of interactive content to communicate this idea.

︎2ND GEN (GENERATIVE) FILTERS
Experimenting with shaders lead to the creation of interactive face filters inspired by colors and textures from the original print zine. The effects are completely responsive to the users actions and motion.

Click below to view the code and use the interactive shaders with your computer webcam.

︎TRACKING FILTERS
These are the first generation of filters made with Spark AR using head and face occlusion and tracking as well as light generators.

︎TOXIC NORM ZINE
This print zine alternates between articles about Situationist International’s philosophies, and the societal impact of social media. Using generative glitch effects and the visual language of social media (emojis) I created original imagery to compliment the article content. As you flip through the zine the text becomes increasingly distorted to correlate with the idea that our perception of reality is distorted through the consumption of media.
